Down by the River

Ok, so its been a while since my last post but I promise to try and be better at keeping up on here. Things are crazy but good here at the Corbett's, we have both been working alot in addition to working on the house. Because of our crazy schedules we have both learned a new appreciation for the other and greatly appreciate the time that we do have together. We are making an effort to do more fun things together and we are looking forward to sharing some of our fun times with you! Spring has finally arrived here in CT and the warm weather and sunshine has been so refreshing. We decided to take advantage of the beautiful day and headed down to the river for a picnic and some wine while we watched the sunset. It was such a nice time to reconnect and talk. As we sat we were entertained by nature in the form of a flying swan, and a cute little otter. There was also a wedding taking place at the restraunt not far from where we were and it was such a nice remeinder of how blessed we are to have each other. It was also really neat to watch the planes from the local airport take off and land as we sat and watched the sun slowly sink. Before we headed home we stopped in to one of the small local icecream shops which also sells all kinds of old school candy. We treated ourselves to some of our old favorites from when we were kids, including bottle caps, candy buttons, Nik-l-Nips and tootsie rolls. While living in such a small town has been challeng for me at times, I have to admit it was quite nice to take advantage of the beautiful scenery that surrounds us out here in Moodus. I have attached some pictures of our time together. I hope that you enjoy them as much as we enjoyed our time down by the river. Joe enjoying a cigar and yummy wine!
